Become a Member
Become a member today! There are many benefits to becoming a member of InULA! At its core, InULA’s mission is to provide professional development opportunities for our members, but it’s so much more than that as well. Membership also provides networking and social opportunities, members only funding opportunities and a chance to support and improve the profession through service opportunities on a wide variety of committees.

Professional Development Opportunities
InULA’s Program and Social Committee sponsors several professional development events throughout the year. These workshops cover a wide variety of topics including: creating professional posters, creating accessible PowerPoint presentations, effectively using new online resources, tools for taking notes digitally, and much more! Is there a workshop you would like to see presented? Contact us and let us know.
Networking and Social Opportunities
Connect with your fellow IU librarians at a multitude of events put together by the Program and Social Committee. There are a wide variety of events to attend. Some of the events of the past have been trail cleanup, the annual December luncheon, a trip to the T.C. Steele homestead’s Art and Simplicity exhibit, wine-tasting at Oliver Winery, and entertaining workshops in origami, quilling and more.
Funding Opportunities
The InULA Research Incentive Fund encourages and supports research by providing funding for research projects of any size or scope. All applications will be considered on their merits. In the case of equally meritorious proposals, those of non-tenured librarians may be given priority, because it is often difficult for beginning researchers to obtain research grants.
Service Opportunities
InULA is an all-volunteer organization, so when you fill out a membership form, please think about volunteering for a committee as well! Some of the committees you can choose from are:
Communications Committee, where you can have a hand in creating InULA’s biannual newsletter, InULA Notes.
Program and Social Committee, where you will have the opportunity to shape the professional development and social activities of the organization.
Scholarship and Grants Committee, where you can help award funds to exciting research and education opportunities for our membership.
